Run run run

It's Jasper's first race! The lovely country town of Groton MA, held a series of races yesterday. There was a 2K, 5K and 10K for the big people. And most excitingly, a Tot Trot for the toddling.

Jasper covered the distance quickly with some help from Mama and Auntie Priscilla. He could have handled a longer distance with no problems. All the kids got a t-shirt, race number and a finisher's ribbon.

This is Not a Test

Pussycat Assassins HQ is having technical difficulties, hence no new photos here or Flickr.

Somehow my iPhoto program got corrupted or something and so it won't open and it's a real nightmare trying to download all of the photos with a card reader (read: I'm a lazy sod).

I am really skerrrd that my hard disk might be on the fritz or dying again. I've asked the Apple Gods to say it ain't so, but the jury's still out.

Let us (continue to) pray.

Exit

Jen just called me from Trader Joe's. While cruising around the produce, Jasper saw a sign and just read it out loud: "exit" Is he reading that sign? It's not like we'd ever pointed out that sign to him and told him what it says. He does know all of the letters in "exit." What the?

It's sort of frightening that at 21 months, I can tell that Jasper's going to smarter than I am. Soon, he'll be writing this blog by himself. Wow.

Channeling Grandpa

My father is known for his short attention span. One of my sister's favorite Dad moments was sitting around the house at Christmas time and witnessing my father singing loudly, "Jingle bells, jingle bells... Peanut?" He'd been distracted from the song by a tasty tasty peanut.

Tonight, Jasper was singing the alphabet song in the tub and finished up with, "W, X, Y, hippo!"
